"Oh, great. Another safety tape," introduces contractors to a set of modules. The client at Chevron wanted a friendly, person to person format and I was happy to oblige. We, the viewer, know our business and we probably know safety procedures at a dozen different sites.

What we do need to learn are Chevron's specific safety systems and the principles they embody. It's not enough to "act safe" in specific circumstances. We have to "think safe" to ensure our safety and the safety of crews around us. Good, regular communication is key.
One module covered the basic concepts. Five other modules examined specific forms, tags and procedures. Crews only view the exact modules they need, keeping them from being buried in information (and obscuring what they need).
